Deutsche Bank Berlin

In 1870, Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin as a joint stock corporation. From here on, the bank became a globally active company and the leading German credit institution. The first city branch network of Deutsche Bank with more than 60 branch offices was also established in Berlin. The administration, both of the entire group and the city headquarters, was located in two building blocks along Mauerstrasse. Until the end of the Second World War, Deutsche Bank had its headquarters in Berlin. After that, the bank operated under the name "Berliner Disconto Bank" and later "Deutsche Bank Berlin" in West Berlin. In 1997, the bank opened its new Berlin headquarters "Unter den Linden" in the former building complex of the Disconto-Gesellschaft, which also houses the Deutsche Guggenheim, an exhibition hall for modern art. In 2005, the pilot branch "Q110 - Deutsche Bank of the Future" was opened in Friedrichstrasse.
