Deutsche Bank Aachen Branch

The branch was established through the takeover of Bergisch Märkische Bank, Elberfeld, and its branches by Deutsche Bank.

On January 1, 1889, the Bergisch Märkische Bank branch in Aachen was born from the takeover of the bank Schweizer & Co. in Aachen, which was founded in 1872. On October 22, 1901, the liquidated Aachen-based private bank Robert Suermondt & Cie was added.

A. Schaaffhausen'scher Bankverein, Cologne, which has been part of the Disconto-Gesellschaft Group since 1914, opened its branch in Aachen in 1918, which was merged with the Deutsche Bank’s Aachen branch on October 29, 1929.
