The way we view the past
affects the way we see the future

The Historical Association of Deutsche Bank was founded on June 12, 1991 as a non-profit organization. The Historical Association has more than 2,000 members. Its main objective is to draw attention to the history of banking - especially of Deutsche Bank - and describe the political, economic and cultural environment in which banks operate.

25 Years of Historical Association of Deutsche Bank

On June 12, 1991 the Historical Association of Deutsche Bank was founded in Frankfurt.
The highlight of its inaugural meeting was a speech by the Honorary Chairman of Deutsche Bank, Hermann J. Abs. Then almost 90 years old, Abs spoke extemporaneously about his arrival at Deutsche Bank, making his own highly memorable contribution to the historical record.
