of Deutsche Bank!

The way we view the past
affects the way we see the future

The Historical Association of Deutsche Bank was founded on June 12, 1991 as a non-profit organization. The Historical Association has around 2,000 members. Its main objective is to draw attention to the history of banking - especially of Deutsche Bank - and describe the political, economic and cultural environment in which banks operate.

New: Publication on Corporate Strategy at Deutsche Bank

This new publication provides readers with an insight into one of the key transformative periods in Deutsche Bank’s recent history. The years from 1985 to 1997, which form the focal point of this narrative, document the gradual demise of ‘Germany plc’, the radical restructuring of Deutsche’s domestic operations, the intensified internationalization of the banking industry and the transition towards a capital-markets-based investment banking business.
